Hi,
I’m Laura, and welcome to Foods From Rome, a great place to explore the foods of Rome and learn about the preparation of their delicious foods, from shopping for great ingredients, to tips and tricks in their preparation, to recommendations for useful kitchen equipment, and so much more.
I love to cook, and experiment with great ingredients. My family and friends are always clamoring for something from my kitchen.
As a fashion design graduate, I’ve spent most of my life working in the world of fashion styling and photography. For the past 20 years I’ve been a sewing and design teacher in NYC. Behind the scenes my love of delicious foods was always struggling to come out and play a bigger role in my life. I’ve contemplated preparing gourmet meals for home delivery, and even toyed with the idea of offering one of the best gourmet soups in the world that is usually not prepared correctly, ‘Tortellini In Brodo’, from a food truck.
Along my journey I realized that I enjoy just cooking for family and friends (a lot less pressure), BUT I absolutely love sharing my knowledge with everyone who has a similar passion for food. That’s how this website was born.
I hope my site will inspire you, and guide you in preparing the many mouth watering Foods of Rome, plus there might be dollop of foods and ingredients from other Italian regions. With plenty of good tips, food ideas and recommended kitchen equipment (I’ve discovered some really cool tools), I hope you’ll visit again and again. My website is designed so you’ll have fun while gaining knowledge. One more thing, I’m blogging from over at WealthyAffilate.com hoping to do great things within my online business in case you want to come on over.
I also look forward to learning from my readers, so if you wish to share something, I’d love to hear from you.
Ciao,
Laura McCracken
